EC to conduct repolling under Chandragiri constituency

The Election Commission has ordered repoll in two more polling stations of Chandragiri Constituency in addition to five booths announced earlier. District Election Officer PS Pradyumna told the media that repolling in all seven polling stations will be held on Sunday. Elaborate arrangements are being made to ensure voters to exercise their franchise in a free and fair manner. The decision was taken after going through the video footage in several polling stations where demands for repolling are received. Commission felt that irregularities have taken place in these seven polling stations and action will be initiated on the polling staff there. Demand for repoll in the two polling stations Kalepalli and Kuppambadur were made by TDP. Each polling station will be supervised by a senior officer and additional SP rank or DSP rank police officer and will have 250 police personnel, Collector said.
