CM praises officials for work excellence in Titli-hit areas

Stating that relief and restoration works in cyclone-hit ares are in their last leg, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has directed the officials to expedite the works to restore normalcy at the earliest. Showering praises on the officials, Naidu said those who did good work will be presented with awards on October 29. “Your all did well, even better than cyclone Hudhud. People’s appreciations are your true award,” he told officials during a teleconference on Sunday.  


Stating that public satisfaction on the government stands at 76 per cent in the entire State and 61 per cent in the cyclone-hit areas, he stressed the need for improving the latter to 76 per cent. Officials were asked to conduct ‘grama sabhas’ at the end of the relief works to explain the facts and figures.


He expressed dissatisfaction over the reactions of Opposition parties and said the attitude of those parties during calamities have changed unlike before when they used to extend solidarity. Agriculture pumps in Titli-hit areas will get power connectivity by October 25. 


Power supply 


APTRANSCO CMD K Vijayanand said power connectivity to 72 per cent of the affected 4,319 villages has been restored. 95% of the restoration works pertaining to towers, KV feeders and 80% of electric poles have been completed.
