Naidu asked officials to develop greenery in the Amaravati

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu asked officials to develop greenery in the Amaravati capital region with a goal to bring down the temperature by 10 degrees. He was speaking to reporters after inspecting the central nursery being developed by Amaravati Development Corporation Limited and the progress of laying of roads and construction of various buildings in capital region on Saturday.

The Chief Minister said 320 km of roads spread over 32 stretches were being now laid while construction of houses for All India services officers, NGOs and weaker sections was also progressing well. In all, 5,000 houses would be constructed for weaker sections and 2,000 houses for NGOs, he added.He noted that the officials were using Mivan technology from Malaysia that uses the prefabricated panel in construction was helping the faster building of structures some of which can be constructed in a single day. Construction of six 6 G+12 towers with 144 flats each having a 3,500 sq ft plinth were being built for All India Service officers.

The Chief Minister said the priority would be given to greenery and landscaping in the capital region and the city will emerge as the best city in planning and greenery. The construction of district courts was in progress and it would be used as transit High Court. Tenders were called for works worth Rs 2,400 crore in the capital region in the first phase. He also said the Central government should extend financial assistance to the State in the capital building. He alleged that some parties were resorting to mudslinging, due to which the State was ending up as the loser, though Amaravati capital works were progressing briskly.
